Mulu are Laura Campbell and Alan Edmunds, are a duo who combine a fusion of Electronic, Pop and Trip Hop, making catchy hits, and have a great fan base supporting them since the late Ninties.
Emma was a graduate in drama from Liverpool John Moores University and tutor in singing who longed for a vehicle to give full vent to her highly developed power of self expression. Alan Edmunds had already established himself as a remixer with many infamous artists but was restless for a project of his own. They took their name from the South- American tribe Mulu.
The backbone of the set came from their excellent debut album 'Smile like a Shark', release back in 1997. Highlights include; ‘Desire’ and 'Pussycat' , all exceptionally delivered by Laura whose voice was as beautiful and impressive as ever. If you've never heard Laura sing, you're sorely missing a true talent at work. Laura clearly enjoyed being back in the stage limelight, reveling in the crackling electric energy produced by the band.
