Baaba Maal - Television released

The new Baaba Maal album - Television - was released on monday to a torrent of great press and reviews. The Independent on Sunday says: "So cooly 21st century. A sublime, fully realised success" and we agree!
The album features Sabina Sciubba and Didi from Brazilan Girls and was co-written by Blue Mountain songwriter Barry Reynolds. It was produced by the legendary John Leckie.
From the title track 'Television' (which reached number 2 on the iTunes World Music chart on 01/06/09) through to the intricate Latin vibe of 'Dakar Moon', Maal has created an album rich in diversity yet solid in it's direction.
