Last week saw Island Records celebrating it's 50 year anniversary with a series of concerts at the Shepherd's Bush Empire venue in London.
During the course of the week several Blue Mountain catalogue artists were invited to perform and one of the great highlights of the week was an acoustic performance featuring Baaba Maal and a surprise appearance by none other than rock legends U2. Together they performed the U2 track One followed seamlessly by the famous Bob Marley track One Love.
They were accompanied by Blue Mountain writer and composer Barry Reynolds on guitar.
Jim Palmer also lent his talents as a percussionist to the show performing alongside Baaba Maal during his full set.
